The workshops are best suited to those with some salon or client experience. Beginners who want to start a career in hairdressing — or current students in hairdressing — should begin with our 12-week Protective Styling Course. It provides the foundation in Afro and mixed-race hair care you’ll need to build a premium service-based business that avoids the damaging shortcuts so common in the industry.

3. Do I have to be based in the UK to take part?
Not at all. Afrotility workshops are delivered online and available worldwide, with both live sessions and recorded replay options. Wherever you are, you can train with us and gain certification.

4. Will I receive a certificate?
Yes — but only once you’ve completed your learning and submitted evidence of your work. At Afrotility, we believe certification should reflect genuine skill, not just attendance. This ensures your clients benefit from an actual improvement in service quality.
