Since 2012, I’ve worked one-to-one with Afro and mixed-race clients, helping them repair, grow, and love their hair. Along the way, I realised that demand for specialist care was greater than I could meet alone — some clients lived far away, others simply couldn’t access my services due to connectivity challenges. That’s when Afrotility grew from coaching individuals into training stylists like you! Combining my training in Afro hair and trichology with further education teaching, I created CPD-accredited workshops and courses to share this knowledge worldwide. The vision? To train more stylists to braid without heat or chemicals, raise professional standards, and give clients undamaged, healthy hair from their very first appointment.

The 12-week Protective Styling Course is designed to give you the fundamentals of Afro and mixed-race hair care, supported by 12 months of mentoring and community access. This is more than a course — it’s a pathway to becoming a trusted professional who protects hair health while unleashing creativity.

For salons that want to raise standards across their whole team, our bespoke packages deliver tailored training for up to five staff members. Each session is customised to your salon’s needs — whether that’s mastering Afro hair fundamentals, improving washday care, or expanding protective styling services. You’ll also receive a replay of your training at no extra cost, making it easy to revisit the content as your team grows in confidence and skill.
